17025:2017 is an International Standard designed for the accreditation of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. It includes quality management system requirements along with technical requirements to ensure that each laboratory is equipped to perform particular tests and calibration activities.
Mass Flow Technology has been involved with Perry Johnson Labs since 2002 and has maintained their ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ever since. “Our clients are the “Who’s Who” of the petro-chem and oil and gas industry” say’s Claude Nowlin, General Manager at Mass Flow. “They demand a level of accuracy and traceability to ensure not only product quality but also safe and environmentally friendly operations. A meter that is out of tune and not functioning properly with in-accurate measurements can be costly to the manufacturer, produce inferior products and even result in a safety or environmental hazard.”
“The process is very in-depth and will illuminate any breakdowns or flaws in our standard operating procedures,” Nowlin continued. “This is why we look forward to PJLA every year. We process real meters through our labs that a customer is waiting for while every aspect of the operation is scrutinized and audited for compliance and accuracy,” Nowlin said.
